From the glamorous stuff like electronics and fashion apparel, to necessities like perishable foods, medicines, chemicals and computers, logistics companies deliver them on time, and in good condition.
According to global research and consulting firm Frost and Sullivan, the ASEAN market for logistics is expected to reach US$28 billion by 2012. Singapore now plays host to 17 of the world's top 25 third party logistics players. What is fuelling such rapid growth? And how are logistics SMEs being helped to face the challenges and tap the opportunities?
